Since its establishment in 1999, Lapita has grown from a small local café into a reputable producer of organic, gluten-free, and traditionally inspired food products, all made with ingredients sourced from across the islands of Vanuatu.
Specializing in nutritious snacks, dried fruits, local sauces, and gluten-free baking such as cassava flour and manioc wraps, Lapita Café blends Vanuatu’s indigenous knowledge with international food safety standards. In 2023, the company became the first in the country to achieve HACCP certification for gluten-free cassava flour.
Lapita’s products are well known both locally and internationally, with their signature coconut cookies served on Air Vanuatu flights, and their brand gaining recognition as a leader in promoting sustainable agriculture and women-led entrepreneurship.
